Enough

I could buy more stuff

To try and feel more than I am

But I have enough

I could have worked longer

At a job I did for 32 years

But I had had enough

I could weigh in on hot button issues I don’t fully understand

But I don’t know enough

I could create an artificial life

And post online

Creating a snow globe

Pretty but False

But I can’t be fake enough

I’m careful who I share me with

The few who understand

A-re enough

Friends who can share stillness for hours

When we have said enough

Stillness should be treasured, not feared

There is not enough

I write what I see and feel

Some people will read it

Two or three will like it

That is enough
